Gamburyan made more than Aldo (wow)

Yep, the headline says it all: The full payout for the event is here @ mmajunkie

Star-divide

Gamburyan's base salary (possibly from his UFC contract days, but I honestly don't know) and his win bonus were both more than Aldo.

I literally changed the channel to watch the boring antics of the humdrum heavyweight TUF season whilst Gamburyan was hugging Garcia en route to a decision.

"Jose Aldo: $26,000 (includes $13,000 win bonus)
def. Mike Brown: $15,000

Manny Gamburyan: $36,000 ($18,000 win bonus)
def. Leonard Garcia: $14,000"

i have no desire to watch Gamburyan throw a wild swing then duck under and lay against someone on the fence. I know it's mixed martial arts, but d*mn.

if manny g continues the way he is fighting i think the wec will cut him. he is boring like shields.

is he not the cousin of karo parisyan too? he is five foot 3 inches too. not five foot five. just go back to the tuf reality show. they said it numerous times on the show. they just increased his height on his profile. it’s like dan henderson. son is not 6 feet 1 inch. he is five feet 10 inch.

That’s how it goes, I don’t understand the surprise.

Bloody hell.

Yep

I kind of pisses me off that Brown only make 15 g’s. It’s BS

He would have made 30K if he had won

But I agree….WEC champions should be making much more….

mousasi got paid 2000 dollars to fight renato sabrol

i’m sure he felt disrespected by amount of money and took it out on babulu.

They don’t pull in that money — I think it’s kind of stupid though as Zuffa could make much more money off the WEC with a little time and effort, thus giving the fighters better paychecks.

Bloody hell.

They make enuff on the live gate alone to pay Mike Brown more than 15,000. Not to mention the TV contract

Gate is not pure profit though. Goes to cover lots of things — the profit margin is probably “reasonable” compared to other businesses.

Bloody hell.

I know . . .

so far the WEC is home to the featherweight championship, why not add the lightweight and oh, I dunno the light heavyweight div to WEC? And have WEC / UFC pay per views?
