schaub had a good punch to knockout madsen

we both called that one mr hunt. we saw the previews for last week with madsen throwing down schaub. it’s the oldest trick they use in reality shows. we knew that guy was going to win. peace. i’m very happy.

I thought Brown would clinch with Aldo and get him down on his back.

As soon as it became evident in round 1 that Brown wasn’t going to be able to take and keep Aldo down, I knew it was a very bad sign for Brown…..and my pick.

That was kinda weird how Brown didn’t fight back at the end there. Other than the cut, he didn’t seem like he was all that hurt.

Yes! Yes! In the face!

Yea

I was thinking the same thing….why isn’t he fighting back…but Aldo did have him flattened out though with hooks in…

That was decent ground awareness by Aldo. I’m not implying that high level stuff or anything. Just that there’s some hope that Jose has some good ground skills to go with all his other tools. If he does: wow!

I'll say this

When it went to the ground and Brown gave his back…Aldo took that shit with the quickness….hooks in a all…the way he did it…I’m pretty sure his BJJ is legit.

Even if his BJJ isn't world class, his takedown defense is very strong.

At 145, I’m not sure you’ll find a much stronger wrestler than Brown. So if he couldn’t get the takedown, who’s going to?

Yes! Yes! In the face!

Other than Grispi having a chance

I don’t know…lol

Haven’t watched the fights yet, no major surprise except Aldo!

Bloody hell.

WEC 44

Shane Roller can take a shot or two.
Karen Darabedyan will only get better, I love how he used the jab. Rob McCullough is seriously tough.

Manny Gamburyan defeated Leonard Garcia via Unanimous Decision . . . yawn. Garcia’s bravado is pointless.

Jose Aldo is that dude. He claims his bjj is better than his striking?!? I can see Brown possibly winning a rematch but I just don’t see anybody else beating him any time soon. His measured approach against Brown was a surprised but very smart.
What’s next?
Rematch or Jose Aldo vs. Urijah Faber?

Faber will have to beat Assuncao first

BUT i’m sure he’ll get Aldo if he does.

the ONLY people (20 or so it sounded like) that cheered for “Man-vil” Gamburyan must have been friends of his. His swing wild, then lay against the guy on the cage routine will never get him into title contention. Aldo will beat Urijah. Urijah with a bit better stand up than Mike Brown will get beaten in the same fashion. Urijah got outwrestled by Brown, but on paper, stylistically, they represent nearly identical fighters.

Gatti. Dekkers. Pele. Aoki. Kang. Vanderlei. Basillio. Harry Greb.

I dunno…not saying Aldo won’t beat him…but I think Faber(as you said) has much better standup than Brown…he’s also a lot quicker…so that makes it a bit more intriguing IMO…
