I gotta tell ya, I gotta say. If I'm going to breakdown a weakness in GSP. I would still say his hands are still his weakness.

Well.......
Wel i have to say hes correct, in his whole arsenol , his hands are the weakness in standup.
Hardy ?
Hardy doesnt have a chance in hell, hardy is too small. Paperweight compared to GSP. Hes going to slam and toss him all over .
His hands aren’t that amazing. Then again, I don’t see how Hardy defends his takedowns… I mean, John Fitch couldn’t defend a takedown from GSP, and he’s probably the #2 WW in the organization.

Yea
When I was transcribing this…I was thinking…so what if his hands are ‘weak’…it’s not like he’s going to stand with him the whole time…lol…

lol
his chin? he gets tkoed once and didn’t even get hit on the chin (side of the head). i don’t think dana is referring to gsp’s hands as weak, their just not as strong as his wrestling, bjj and sudmissions. overall, i’d say his striking, including leg kicks, is as good as anyones in the ww division, but when he is fighting ko artists, why take the chance qwhen he knows he can dominate on the ground.
If Matt Serra can beat GSP, anything is possible.
But that doesn’t mean we won’t see GSP taking Hardy’s back and choking him out somewhere around the 2:20 mark of Round 1.
Yes! Yes! In the face!

Hardy is a much more technical striker than Serra. Serra clubbed GSP in the back of the head, I don’t see Hardy being so sloppy.

i don't see him having a chance off his back eating leather and elbows...

I think this GSP is afraid to stand and having a weak standup is is grossly overstated. As a matter of fact, it’s a complete false belief. It’s pretty much the new “where is his head is at?”

yea
I mean…why should you standup with guys when you can take them down at will and maul them? Makes perfect sense to me.

I’m going to put 100$ on Hardy. Even if I lose the money its worth the risk. The odds will be heavily in GSP’s favor.

the worst that could happen is I lose 100$ (which is probably what will happen after GSP takes him down every round and pounds on him till his face matches his mohawk). But, if he pulls off a Serra, i’d win like a grand.

As I see it when I bet massive underdogs, is that with my budget in mind I seldom go more than 30 bucks or so… I’m not even pissed I didn’t put more money on them because when the bets go through it’s still a free night out or a dinner or something… underdog betting is a sure-fire way to lose money in the long haul.
Bloody hell.
