Mike Pierce vs. Jon Fitch Set For UFC 107

According to MMAMania:

The third time will hopefully be the charm for Jon Fitch (19-3) now that up-and-coming welterweight Mike Pierce (10-1) has agreed to step up and face him at UFC 107 from the FedEx Forum in Memphis, Tenn., on Dec. 12.

This will be a good opportunity for Pierce as he surely surprised me by beating Brock Larson at UFN 19.  However, it's a lose/lose for Fitch in that beating Pierce doesn't really do anything for him.  However, with this fight taking place near Christmas and already being in training camp for Thiago Alves, I can see why he'd take the fight.

It’s not a horrible fight. I’m not beside myself with joy though because I can pretty much guarantee that this will be really, really boring.

Bloody hell.
