frank mir

count youreslf lucky, for now. he’s in for another beatdown soon, dunno if its going to be Kongo though. still, if he can keep him at distance with his stand up maybe he tko’s him… i say throw him to velasquez, lets see how he deals with mirs bjj and hopefully he

puts him through hell

I think Kongo has an excellent shot at beating Mir.

will they stand 3 rounds??

man i’d hate to see frank mir win but i honestly see him bringing Kongo’s arm/leg/insert-limb-here home with him for his mantlepiece! his bjj is sick, i mean he could probably flying armbar him or something and i wouldn’t be surprised! Kongo is seriously inept on the ground, so hebetter not try GnP him either if he does successfully drop him

Kongo against the odds sounds great tho, i’ll take that (",)

Well

Mir’s gotta get him to the ground first….Kongo’s take down defense has improved tremendously from a couple of years ago…I mean look how Velasquez thew Rothwell around…Kongo was able to keep it standing a little and land some shots…Mir’s wrestling isn’t very good at all…he might have to pull guard to get Kongo down…then again…he just might try to strike with Kongo…lol.

word

i wonder has Kongo watched Lesnar-Mir I? ifancy him to get caught, maybe not as easily, but caught nonetheless trying to beat on mir after he hits the canvas. i mean mir will probly pull a leaf from big nog’s book when they fought and bait him cos he will most likely lose the stand up! yes he is just as likely to convince himself he can stand with Kongo, i hope he does ;)

With hands I think I have an advantage, obviously he’s good with kicks and knees…As long as we’re boxing with each other, I feel very comfortable with Cheick Kongo. Obviously, I don’t want to eat one of his knees, so I probably will strike with him a lot, because if I just try to dive at him there’s always the chance of taking one of those.

my predicition, mir to have being playing mind games and to catch a leg kick…not letting go. lol.

fedors nuts get a well earned break

its back to the normal mortal life for the last emperor, as his stones no longer represent viable monkeybars for mma fans worldwide (",)

nah im kidding, i say he moves up to 4/5…fedor retains place but has big question mark over it! btw Randy can count himself lucky in my estimation, i dont think he can hold sixth…

He'll move up a couple spots

But won’t be #1 because there are some bad matchups for him in the top 5….plus…if he wins it’ll be puncher’s chance.

Hard fought fight, TKO late in the 2nd. What happens then?

Bloody hell.

by 3PA on Oct 29, 2009 10:59 AM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

I’d make Lesnar # 1 at that point.

Oh for sure^

I thought he was asking if I’d put Rogers #1 if he beat Fedor.

even if he’s still “sick”?

by The Real T-Bone on Oct 29, 2009 12:41 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

why not?

he isn’t going to be sick forever, plus we all know he wasn’t. it was the ufc giving in (again, ffs) to silva and ensuring he has a nice ppv cut off the 108 card

Dana’s hands are all over this Kelvin, think about it. Silva ain’t a major ppv draw amongst casual fans, the little who do know him are seriously tainted by fights against thales and cote. however if, seeing as he is paid by ppv cut, has a big draw on the same card as him.. boom ! he gets a healthy pay check and is all smiles, until he starts aping again. the only reason he has been ragging on about fighting or not fighting is his paycheck.

maybe im wrong tho, i do like my conspiracy theories lol

Oh..I know

It makes perfect sense…there’s just no way to prove it…thus it’s a conspiracy…lol.

Same thing

The only way Rogers could jump to the #1 slot is if he beat Fedor the same way Cain Velasquez beat Ben Rothwell…and every round would have to be like that whole fight was…Roger’s is still largely unproven…

Word, if Brock in turn handles Carwin… I could see alot of people moving him ahead.

Bloody hell.

by 3PA on Oct 29, 2009 11:04 AM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Yea

Depending on that fight…and how Roger’s does against Fedor…..if Roger’s gets Fedor in trouble and Lesnar walks through Carwin…I probably would put Lesnar over Fedor.
