Vitor Belfort: "Nate Marquardt Deserves The Title Shot More Than Me"

I would have to agree with that statement and probably most of you would.  In fact, I think Marquardt is a just a tad bit more deserving of a title shot than Dan Henderson.  However, we've gone back and forth on that as well.  It'll be interesting to see how the UFC handles this rumored fight between Anderson Silva and Vitor Belfort with Lesnar/Carwin reportedly being moved to UFC 108.  Personally, I'd like to see Belfort win at least one more fight before getting a title shot since the win over Franklin was relatively quick with little action prior to the KO.

The argument would be that while Henderson and Franklin had a gritty battle, Vitor put Rich to sleep with the quickness.

But yeah, Marquardt has the higher quality wins (with a highly debatable loss to a former contender) – someone involved in this mess will probably have to fight Sonnen lol.

Bloody hell.

I still would’ve wanted an eliminator between Hendo and Marquardt… and then it would’’ve been logical to give Belfort the spot.

Yea

I’m for Hendo/Marquardt as well….now Sonnen can supplant Hendo since they are from the same camp and have similar styles….if Hendo wanna trip about the contract.

According to Anderson no one deserves to fight him

…except, for some odd reason, Frank Mir lol

He probably just wants to hit Mir in the mouth like many others….

cool

Nate Marquardt Deserves The Title Shot More Than Me

fight hendo again and put him in his place and fight silva after he has taken marquardt apart again, even though it may last longer this time.

tell me what you think of this fight

after jon “bones” jones beats matt hamill. i hope not to brutally b/c i pull for guys like hammil. put ryan bader undefeated record against jon jones and winner gets anderson silva. somebody would still be undefeated and i think that fighter would be jones b/c of cardio. if you watch the bader vs schafer fight carefully bader blew his wad in first round i was very winded starting the second round. it was obvious to me. i say jon jones tko’s hammil. then destroy’s and knockout’s bader in secound round. peace,

Ehh

Jones is way ahead of Bader in the grand scheme of things…Bader would be a step down from Hamill IMO…

Jones is way ahead of Bader in the grand scheme of things…Bader would be a step down from Hamill IMO…

amen

after a 4 more fights if he realises his potential maybe bones gets him, but there are some way more interesting match-ups at 205 for the spider!! shogun etc….

i was just thinking that jon jones could add to his resume the tuf 8 or 9 winner to ......

his resume and give him his first loss. it’s always a good thing to give a fighter his first lost. jon bones jones has his eye’s set on anderson silva and after two or three more fights i think he gets him and knocks him out with a 360% punch. i like jon jones speed and before anybody says A.S. is unstoppable they were saying the same thing about machida. peace!
