Rumor: Nate Diaz vs. Clay Guida

Nathan Diaz will be fighting Clay Guida on January 31st, 2009 at UFC 94 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The match up has not been officially announced by the UFC. However, if the rumor does come to fruition this will add to an already stacked card for UFC 94. Guida is the perinnial gatekeeper in the lightweight division and is will be another step up in competition for Diaz who is undefeated in the UFC. The card so far looks like the following:

Georges St. Pierre vs. BJ Penn(Welterweight Title Match)

Jon Fitch vs. Akihiro Gono

Thiago Silva vs. Lyoto Machida

Karo Parisyan vs. Dong Hyun Kim

Jake O'Brien vs. Christian Wellisch

Manny Gamburyan vs. Thiago Tavares

Stephan Bonnar vs. Jon Jones

Dan Cramer vs. Matt Arroyo

Is Karo on the main card? I wonder what his excuse will be this time when he loses, that is if he even fights this time.
As for Diaz/Guida, I think Guida will get rush in, over agressively take Diaz down with a double and fall into a triangle. Either that or Diaz armbars him. As for what round, probably the second.

Ahhhh…..I like seeing Nate Diaz fight. The Guida matchup should be a good one for him.
