Matt Hughes Supports Barack Obama Now

According to Hughes Blog:

Well I have to say congrats to both candidates, this year was very interesting for me as history was going to be made no matter which party got in office. Senator John McCain fought tooth and nail till the very end, but came up short. President-Elect Obama did well in his debates and I think that had a lot to do with him winning the election. I think if Bush didn’t have such a bad approval rating, then Senator McCain would have had a better shot. So what’s done is done, Mr. Obama is now President-Elect and, even though I didn’t support him in this election, I will respect the office that he now holds. I think it is important to always respect the President whether you agree with him or not.

I now pray for my country, I also pray for President-Elect Obama to have an experienced cabinet to help him make his decisions. -matt
I don't think the debates are what won the election for Obama, but I do agree with Hughes in that Bush's approval rating affected McCain greatly. I won't get all political on a MMA site, but I have gained a hint more respect for Hughes for attempting to right the ship of the uninformed excerpt he wrote the other day. I'm pretty sure that Obama is smart enough to surround himself with smart and experienced people. I mean after all, he has defied great odds to get to where he has gotten in a short amount of time. In the mean time, Hughes would be better off praying for a win against Matt Serra in his next fight.

I read them…and regardless of who you vote for…at least be informed…sadly a large portion of them were not…hell some of them stupidly did not even exercise their right to vote
