Ultimate Fight Night: "Fort Bragg" In North Carolina
That's the word according to MMAMania:
The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) will once again pay tribute to United States servicemen and women when it stages a free Spike TV event for the troops at Fort Bragg in Fayetteville, N.C., on December 10.
Similar to UFC Fight Night from Marine Corps Air Station Miramar in Miramar, Calif., on December 12, 2006, the event will be free for military personnel to attend and likely feature a fight card that is littered with veterans of the armed services who now compete in mixed martial arts.
Fort Bragg is known as the "Home of the Airborne and Special Operations Forces," according to the official Web site. It also the home for the XVIII Airborne Corps and the 82nd Airborne Division. The US Army Special Operations Command and the US Army Parachute Team (the Golden Knights) also call Fort Bragg home.
This is a very big deal for me being that I only live about 40 minutes from the military base. I have some friends that have been asking me when the UFC was going have an event in North Carolina...well HERE IT IS!! I'm gonna try my best to cover this event live. Stay tuned to MMA4Real as more details come about for this event.

This would be a good event to debut Brian Stann in the UFC since they are folding the WEC LHW division. I’m sure they will put Fioravanti on it, too.

Is this going to be open to the public? I know how hard it is to get on a military base as just a guest, so this should be interesting

just noticed your ratings! Matt Serra a top ten fighter? One lucky punch and your top ten? I once knocked the bully out but no one put me in the top ten badasses in school!
Top ten coaches maybe, but not fighter!

He’s only there because Karo has been madd lackluster as of late…and he did KO the champ…I don’t really think he is a top ten fighter either…but it’s just an ackward situation in that division right now.

If Matt Hughes is 7 I have no problems with Serra being 10. I see Serra winning the grudge match. Hughes has looked helpless over the last few fights…almost like he’s hoping for divine intervention.
